Oklahoma governor submits $1.3 billion infrastructure wish list as part of NGA submission

Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin submitted a list of seven infrastructure projects estimated at $1.3 billion as part of the compilation of project requests from across the country sent to the Trump administration by the National Governors Association (NGA).

A report by McClatchy lists four of the seven projects being interstate and highway reconstruction or expansion projects.

These projects include:

• $300 million for I-40 reconstruction to add capacity to the interstate of the eastern section from I-35 in Oklahoma City to Shawnee
• $150 million for reconstruction of the I-44/I-235 interchange in Oklahoma City
• $300 for I-44 reconstruction extending west of the Arkansas River to west of I-244
• $300 million for expanding the U.S. 75 corridor south from I-244 in Tulsa to Glenpool

The NGA is not publicly announcing the list of projects, but the expectation is individual states will begin announcing the requests separately.
