NRMCA adds two publications

|  August 26, 2009 |

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association added two publications to its library of tools to help personnel in the ready mixed concrete industry.

The first publication, Lifting and Chute Handling Safety, is a CD-based PowerPoint presentation and instructor notes designed to teach employees the importance of lifting and chute handling. Two instructor-led exercises, training documentation forms and a quiz is included to help employees learn proper techniques during training.

The second publication discusses simple temperature measurements of hydrating concrete, mortar or paste mixtures as a powerful quality control tool for ready mixed concrete producers. Titled Thermal Measurements of Hydrating Concrete Mixtures – A Useful Quality Control Tool for Concrete Producers, the publication introduces readers to SAC equipment, applications and basics of how to plan and conduct an effective SAC testing program.
