No. 1: OtterBox Defender Series

|  November 25, 2013 |

Screen Shot 2013-11-25 at 8.19.08 AMOtterBox is the undisputed king of the smartphone case world and at the end of the day, it’s hard to argue with its track record. The Defender Series cases aren’t waterproof or thin like Incipio’s Atlas and the LifeProof cases, but they are tough as nails. The exterior design of the Defender cases offers a huge amount of grip and the included belt clip always comes in handy when on the jobsite when digging in a pocket is typically out of the question. Port and button protection is among the best of the class. We’d still like to see the company work on the squishy screen protectors for something like a hard plastic or, better yet, glass. The Defender Series cases for the iPhone 5S/5C are coming soon. $60.

OtterBox’s Defender Series cases for several brands and models of Android phones including Samsung, HTC, Motorola and LG. They also make cases for Blackberry and Windows Phone devices.
