Hilti’s third generation AG 500-A18 cordless cut-off tool got a big boost in performance with a new 5.2 amp-hour battery, bringing it close to corded tool productivity.

A keyless quick-change flange makes it easy to replace worn out cutting discs and a brushless motor will give this tool up to three limes longer life, says the company.

For your safety an electronic brake stops the spinning disc within one second and active torque control will prevent the tool from being wrenched out of your hands or kicking back if it gets stuck.

The 18-volt Hilti can be used to cut and grind cast iron pipe, structural steel, threaded rod, stainless steel and sheet metal as well as de-burring and finishing metal work pieces.
