Tier 3-Ready Dozer

Untitled-2More horsepower, optimized blade profile, enhanced operator station and the most requested mining specs come standard.
The new D3765-6 dozer from Komatsu American Corp. features 636 horsepower (gross), 610 horsespower (net) at 1,800 rpm. Powered by a Komatsu SAA6D170E-5 engine with an operating weight of 157,940 pounds, the crawler dozer meets all EPA Tier 3 and EU state 3A emissions requirements. Upgrades from its prior model, the D375A-5E0, include improved blade profile, a new multilingual LCD color monitor with self-diagnostic functions. An updated Full-U 28.8-cubic-yard blade allows for increased production without increasing blade width or reducing digging force. An “eco gauge” is displayed on the right side of the multi-monitor screen. There are also 16 new, standard mining specifications including high-mounted headlights; battery and starter isolator box; centralized grease points; and manual engine stop switches. Optional mining specifications include right and left hand platforms with handrails and HID work lights. A variable piston pump derived from the D475A-5EO hydraulic system replaces the previous tandem gear.

Bye bye dust, heavy and light

The new Hilti TE DRS-B Dust Removal System easily clips onto all recent Hilti demolition hammers and combihammers, with no screwdriver needed. Throughout the demolition process, the  system captures both heavy and fine dust. An inner ring prevents the intake of large pieces of concrete or other materials that could block the system. A two-chamber
air-flushing system also not only collects dust from the working surface, but it also removes dust from the end of the chuck, helping to keep the tool clean.

Expands Crawler Loader Offering

Liebherr Construction Equipment has released its LR614 and LR 624 models, which joins the previously announced LR634. Powered by Tier 3 engines, the two new models increase Liebherr’s offering from 1.57-cubic-yard to 3.14-cubic-yard bucket capacities.
The 101-horsepower LR614 offers a compact machine for those dealing with tight operating quarters. The LR614 has a full-sized operator’s cab with standard AC and a 16,751-pound tipping load.
The LR624 replaces the LR622, offering significant upgrades, including a new operators cab that won a European design award. Cab upgrades a single-piece curved glass windshield offering visibility during the full bucket dig-dump cycle.
