NCCER breaks ground on headquarters

Posted By Lauren Heartsill Dowdle On November 30, 2010 @ 3:23 pm In Industry Briefs | No Comments

The National Center for Construction Education and Research broke ground on Nov. 22 for its future home in Alachua, Florida.

NCCER plans to move into the new building in the fall of 2011. The Haskell Company of Jacksonville will be the design-build firm.

The 31,000 square-foot building will be designed to LEED [1] silver certification. LEED is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.

NCCER’s new headquarters will serve as an educational facility, as well as the national headquarters for ProV – NCCER’s testing and assessment development partner.
