Gallagher has served on NAPA engineering committees and chaired the association’s task forces on recycling and energy conversation, and has worked on industry best practices and warm-mix asphalt adoption.

“Tax reform and investment in America’s infrastructure are being discussed both in the White House and Congress,” Gallagher says. “We will be working diligently to ensure that a stable funding stream for the construction, maintenance, and improvement of our nation’s infrastructure is part of those discussions.”

In addition to working toward reliable funding for infrastructure, he plans to make engineering and pavement quality and workzone safety part of his priorities during his term as chairman.

“We are entering 2017 with a lot of optimism, but we have still face a competitive business environment,” Gallagher says. “NAPA is leading important educational and research efforts that will help the industry continue to deliver high-quality, long-lasting, and sustainable asphalt pavements for the driving public.”

Gallagher Asphalt runs three permanent asphalt plants and provides paving, hot-in-place recycling and trucking in the Chicago Southland area.
