More layoffs at Cat today and April 24

|  April 17, 2009 |

Cat announced at the end of January that it would layoff workers as of April 13 at the East Peoria, Ill. and Aurora, Ill. manufacturing facitilities.

Today there will be layoffs, according to a report from ARI.

Another group of employees are expected to be laid off April 24, Caterpillar spokesman Jim Dugan said this week, according to the ARI report.

Let’s hope the stimulus dollars will get things moving again and get these employees back to work.
