Mobile JLG® Vertical Mast Lifts Incorporate Rugged Components

The Rental Show, 2008 – JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Truck Corporation company [NYSE: OSK] and a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers will show the JLG® Model 20MVL mobile vertical lift in Booth 6119 at The Rental Show in Las Vegas, Nevada February 12 through February 14, 2008.

The model 20MVL is a self-propelled vertical mast lift with a 19 foot 6 inch platform height and 350 pound platform capacity. It features counter rotating rear drive wheels that facilitate a zero turning radius and robust components for heavy-duty use in construction, maintenance and retail applications. The mobile vertical lift has an extended life gearbox, single Point & Go® joystick drive and steer control, automatic rapid re-charge battery charger and two sealed 100 amp-hour maintenance-free batteries.

The clutch-free gearbox is the same as those used on JLG™s scissor lifts and the new electric drive motor uses four brushes that increase brush life up to five times. A light is illuminated at the control panel indicating when the drive motor brushes need to be replaced so the motor is more protected from damage.

Standard features on the MVL Series include non-marking tires, transportation tie-downs, built-in fork truck pockets, an hour meter, an all motion alarm and a 110-volt double receptacle on the platform.

The machines comply with ANSI, OSHA and CSA requirements and have many standard features including an automatic pothole protection system, a tilt alarm and control, a flashing amber beacon and horn. There is also a key lock for the main power switch and an optional programmable 4-digit security lock.

Among other options are various platform sizes with gull-wing platform entry, a lifting eye for a crane hook, a fluorescent light tube caddy and an 8 inch by 18 inch tool tray.
