Missouri Volvo Rents franchise offers pink boomlift for breast cancer awareness

Construction teams looking for a way to give back to the community can raise a pink boomlift into the sky as a symbolic message of hope and support for breast cancer patients and survivors.

The crew at Volvo Rents of Springfield, Missouri, has painted one of its JLG 660SJ telescopic boomlifts entirely pink to help spread awareness about the impact breast cancer has made on the Springfield community.

Breast cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death for women. More than 40,000 women in the U.S. die from the disease each year; over 800 of them will be in Missouri, according to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO), a Springfield-based non-profit organization.

Each time a crew rents the pink boom, Volvo Rents will donate 10 percent of the rental revenue to the BCFO.
