Missouri DOT begins under-bridge inspections in northwestern portion of the state

Spokane bridge inspectionsThe Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has begun a series of weekly under-bridge inspections in the northwestern portion of the state, covering a portion of the 10,000 bridges the state maintains.

MoDOT crews will be closing a single lane on the bridges and ramps during the inspections and are advising motorists to be wary of additional equipment on the roadways and work zone signs.

This week MoDOT will inspect:

  • Daviess County Interstate 35 at the Grand River and Grand River overflow bridges
  • Daviess County Route 6 at the Grand River

Inspections during the week of Nov. 28 include:

  • Buchanan County U.S. Route 36 westbound bridge over the Platte River
  • Holt County I-29 bridges over Squaw Creek
  • Holt County U.S. Route 159 over I-29

The week of Dec. 5 MoDOT will inspect:

  • Linn County U.S. Route 36 bridges over Muddy Creek
