STABILITY ON WHEELS
Gain the stability needed to manage bigger loads for heavy lifting applications, such as pipelaying, with Volvo’s 20-ton weight class EW230C wheeled excavator. A Volvo D6E EHE3 diesel engine powers the EW230C with 167 net horsepower at 2,000 rpm. A load-sensing hydraulic system features two pumps: one for the attachment and travel and a second, closed-loop slew pump. The excavator’s design ensures its rear axle weight, when fitted with a standard counterweight, remains below 12 tons. A heavier counterweight for non-road applications and a choice of 18-foot 8-inch mono or two-piece boom is available.

DOUBLE DUTY
Dynapac’s 8-to-10-ton and 10-to-12-ton tandem asphalt rollers offer soft starting and stopping to prevent bowing or cracking in the asphalt layers, enabling even unskilled operators to start and stop without leaving marks. As a safety feature, the machines drop out of soft mode and brake immediately if the lever is moved quickly. A double pump vibration system eliminates the need for a vibration valve, aiding in servicing and reducing fuel consumption.

GET A GRIP
LBX’s Link-Belt 240 X2 Material Handler can be used for specialty applications, such as scrap/material handling, demolition, waste transfer and site preparation. With the option of linkage- or gooseneck-style attachments, this machine can be equipped with a variety of tools, including dangling magnets, orange peel grapples, trash grapples, buckets or shears and processors. The 240 X2’s cab rises to a full height of 18 feet 2 inches and easily transports from job to job.

DIG DEEP
Doosan Infracore America’s DX350 crawler excavator replaces the DX340, featuring a 271-horsepower Doosan Tier 3 engine and increased breakout force. Doosan improved the excavator’s fuel efficiency by electronically optimizing the hydraulic system. Greasing intervals have also been extended to 250 hours because of new polymer shims and bushings used at the boom, arm and bucket.

KEEP AN EYE OUT
Keytroller’s Cyberwatch cellular GPS/GSM asset tracker and wireless hour meter connects to vehicle power and the ignition system to establish time on usage data. Cyberwatch transmits its GPS position and hour meter data automatically once per day or week to a password protected website accessed by the dealer or user. From this data, the user can determine exact position of the mobile asset and when it’s time for maintenance.

LET IT RIP
Made from extra thick 44W steel, Nye’s DR3 Triple Ripper for dozers has a fully enclosed box design engineered for extra strength. Three heavy duty one-piece steel shanks adjust independently so you can shorten or lengthen any of the shanks. These can also be angled past the vertical in either direction for the most accurate ripping angle, so users can gouge out roots, break up frozen ground or plough through stubborn rocks.
