MULTI-PURPOSE POWER
Miller Electric’s EnPack Mechanic Series integrates with a truck’s electrical and fuel systems to eliminate the need for a PTO, while still providing enough power to run air tools, hydraulic cranes and electrical equipment – all with the truck turned off. The diesel engine-driven EnPack combines a rotary screw air compressor, hydraulic pump and generator in a single unit. It lowers fuel costs up to 30 percent and lessens exhaust fumes, reduces truck engine hours up to 60 percent and lowers workspace noise by as much as 10 decibels.

ENGINE UPGRADE
John Deere has upgraded its 710J backhoe to come standard with a PowerTech E 6068 Tier 3 engine, improving both emissions and power. The 710J offers a dig depth of 22 feet, 4 inches when extended, and an increase to 126 net horsepower, compared to the previous 123 net horsepower. The high-pressure common rail fuel system provides higher injection pressures, variable timing and precise control of fuel injection for efficient combustion.

ROAD READY
Volvo Construction Equipment’s MT2000 is powered by a 610-horsepower Tier 3 Cummins engine and the four-track, front-load, half-lane milling machine has three distinct engine and drum cutting speeds. It accepts both 78.74-inch and 86.02-inch wide drums. Volvo’s MW500 is a four-wheel, rear-loading, utility-class milling machine with a 19.69-inch cutting width and tight 7.87-inch cutting radius.

DIG IT
Work closely beside buildings or other obstructions with Bobcat’s in-track swing frame E80 excavator. The E80 has a dig depth of 15 feet 6 inches and an operating weight of 18,880 pounds, including its rubber tracks. Daily greasing of the boom, arm and bucket pivot bushings has been eliminated thanks to an increased service interval of 250 hours. New polymer shims used in the lateral joints improve bucket tightness and reduce pin wear.

ROLL CALL
Bomag’s redesigned BW145-40 Series single-drum vibratory rollers feature improved ergonomics, better service point access and 75-horsepower, Tier 3-compliant Deutz diesel engines. A 56-inch-wide working width enables the BW145-40 Series to handle medium-sized projects, such as driveways, parking lots and residential and commercial construction, while the machines’ compactness also permits work in confined spaces. High centrifugal force and optimized amplitude and frequency ensure versatility for a wide range of materials.

STUMP SLASHERS
Vermeer’s SC1152 and SC652 stump cutters feature four-bar linkage, which allows the cutter wheel to move away from the machine as the boom drops toward a stump. Both machines achieve cutting heights of 31 inches above ground and 25 inches below grade. Four-wheel drive and variable speed control provide traction in difficult ground conditions. An optional remote control provides propel, boom and steering function control.

POWER FLOW
As an addition to the CJ-4 product line, Petro-Canada’s Duron-E 10W-30 heavy-duty engine oil suits both on- and off-road fleets by providing optimal soot dispersion, extended drain capabilities, low engine wear and top-up and cold start-up performance. Duron-E 10W-30 can be used in four-stroke diesel, gasoline and natural gas automotive applications where SAE 10W-30 is recommended.
