Increased load capacities allow telehandlers to lift up to 12,000 pounds
Designed with a high-profile boom configuration, Gehl’s DL Series Dynalift telescopic handlers provide maximum visibility in any working environment. Load capacities have been increased on the models, with lift capacities from 7,000 to 12,000 pounds and lift heights from 40 to 55 feet. The units offer control in tight confines due to a 12-foot 2-inch turning radius and an overall height of 7 feet 8 inches. Each model has a rear axle stabilization system for improved stability and since the handlers do not require fluid-filled tires, outriggers are optional.
Walk-behind trenchers deliver compact footprints and zero-turn capability
Tracks – plus operator-friendly controls – make Toro’s gas-powered TRX-15 and TRX-19 walk-behind trenchers more productive and easier to operate than typical wheeled trenchers, says the company. Both the 15-horsepower and 19-horsepower TRX models deliver powerful performance with four-cycle, V-twin engines. The models’ low-profile tracked design provides a low center of gravity and a large footprint for increased stability on hills and smooth operation on uneven terrain. Each model offers a low ground pressure of 4.1 psi and trenches up to 36 inches deep. Three simple controls operate all traction and trenching functions and eliminate “jerk” steering required with trenchers that have handlebar steering.
Scraper tractors provide more power, operator comfort
John Deere’s 9030 Series scraper tractors range from 425 to 530 horsepower and suit large-scale scraper operations, providing more power, operator comfort and cleaner burning Tier 3 engines. The 9430, 9530 and 9630 each feature a six-cylinder PowerTech Plus engine with four valves per cylinder, EGR and a variable geometry turbo to deliver up to 38 percent more torque and 10 percent more power than previous engines. The 18-speed PowerShift transmission comes standard and offers enhanced, event-based shifting logic to accommodate increased power levels. The CommandView cab has lower sound levels and provides optimum visibility for all scraper activities.
Engine air cleaner manages severe dust conditions
Donaldson’s SSG Air Cleaner comes in two high-flow models – single and dual outlet – and is equipped with radial seal filters, which slip easily on and off the outlet tube during service and installation. The SSG Air Cleaners have molded urethane endcaps, a design upgrade from the SRG Air Cleaner family that incorporates an axial seal design with metal endcaps. The SSG cleaner’s inlet section includes a bank of Donaldson Donaclone pre-cleaning tubes designed to separate up to 97 percent of the heaviest dust particles from the air stream. The pre-cleaned dust is automatically ejected from the dust cup through the evacuator valve.
Hydraulic thumb increases handling flexibility
Geith’s hydraulic Pro-Link Thumbs offer maximum rotation and versatility to excavator bucket operations. The Pro-Link Thumb follows the bucket tip through an extended range of motion, with rotation of at least 180 degrees to match the bucket working cycle and provide increased flexibility in handling situations. The thumb also improves pick-up and placement of material closer to the excavator. The universal linkage pivot system installs easily on any excavator arm without removing the dipper arm linkage. A built-in linkage positional stop protects the thumb ram.
Dozer offers lower engine emissions and advanced cooling system
Equipped with an 800-net-horsepower Cat C32 ACERT engine and a radiator with improved heat transfer capabilities, Caterpillar’s 854K dozer replaces the 854G as the company’s largest wheeled dozer for heavy-duty applications, such as mining and bulk materials handling. The 854K’s modular radiator has a copper core for greater heat transfer than steel, and its copper fins are copper brazed for high joint integrity. The core allows removal of a single module without removing the entire radiator, which reduces downtime and lowers repair costs. The new model retains some of the same features as the 854G, including the impeller clutch torque converter, the lockup clutch for direct drive efficiency and the STIC control system for reduced steering and transmission control effort.
Combihammer requires low contact pressure for drilling
Hilti’s TE 70 Combihammer, equipped with a 1,600-watt motor, delivers power for fast drilling in various applications, such as drilling in concrete, stone and masonry. The TE 70 also offers the best power-to-weight ratio in its class, according to Hilti, and features an optimized mechanical clutch to provide maximum torque. The TE 70-ATC has Active Torque Control for added operator protection, quickly shutting off power if the tool housing begins to rotate too rapidly. Rugged components and efficient cooling provide durability and glass-fiber reinforced housing protects the tool for long life. The TE 70 also requires low contact pressure to initiate drilling and has a dampened hammering mechanism for better working comfort.
Mulcher available with choice of cutting head
The purpose-built Bron 400 Mulcher features a Cat engine and hydrostatic drive for the power and control necessary for seismic line, right-of-way maintenance and land clearing applications. Survey grade total station positions itself in seconds
Leica Geosystems’ survey grade, fully GNSS compatible TPS1200 Plus total station supplies precise automatic positioning within seconds. In combination with the new CMOS positioning camera, the PinPoint reflectorless EDM range and accuracy has increased two fold. A color display allows users to see and interact with their instruments in vivid detail, and drawing colors can be imported directly to the instrument with data. The map screen also enables users to select items and user them for real working functions. Built-in DXF file support ensures all drawing programs are supported both in the field and the office.
Hot water pressure washer series supplies flows of 2.7 to 3.5 gpm
As the successor to the MVC and SUV series, Landa’s MHC series on-site cleaning machine offers more functionality, safety and ease of service. Honda or Subaru Robin engines power all six MHC series pressure washers and flows range from 2.7 to 3.5 gpm, with pressures from 2,400 to 3,500 psi. Electric and recoil start is available on three models and three have Landa’s proprietary Super Duty Regulator, which allows operation without a battery or magneto system. Ampliroll offers two new HookLift capacities – the 26,000-pound system, available in two lengths for trucks with a GVWR of 32,000 to 44,000 pounds or the 40,000-pound system, available in four lengths to fit trucks with a GVWR of 50,000 to 66,000 pounds. With the HookLift’s automatic hook-up, users never have to leave the cab to operate the unit for loading or unloading. One unit can fill the need for water trucks, flatbeds that haul backhoes or other equipment.
