Manitou unveils MRT 2150, 2550 Privilège + telehandlers with improved capacity

At the Bauma show in Munich, Manitou has introduced two new 5.5-ton-capacity Privilège + telehandlers.

The new MRT 2550 replaces the current 2540 and has a lifting capacity of 80.7 feet while the new 2150 has a reach of 67.5 feet and represents a redesign from the previous generation of that machine.

Manitou says both machines boast an improved load chart thanks to new stabilizers.

Ground clearance on the stabilizers has been increased from 7 to 9 inches to improve all-terrain movement. Manitou adds that the machines’ load chart adapts to the stabilizers deployed length which is particularly useful for work in platform mode.

Inside the cab, operators will find a new screen position for the display that makes it easier to read along with a USB port and smartphone holder. Visibility from the cab has been improved thanks to a lower boom position.

Both the 2550 and 2150 are powered by a 156-horsepower Mercedes Tier 4 Final engine. Manitou has paired the power plant with a new transmission that has made changing gears easier.

The new trucks are expected by be available in the second quarter of this year.
