Liebherr, Chevron Delo give away custom bikes

Liebherr Construction Equipment has handed the keys to a new, custom painted Fat Boy Harley Davidson to the winner of its 35th anniversary “Stars and Stripes” promotion.

Brian Smith of Tools 4 Hire in Boston won the machine when his name was drawn from a box filled with the names of dealers who sold Liebherr construction equipment during 2005. For each machine sold, the seller’s name was entered into the drawing.

Liebherr commissioned an artist from Austria to custom paint both the 15th anniversary motorcycle and an L580 wheel loader with a red, white and blue, stars and stripes design. The machine and motorcycle have been displayed at various construction equipment shows and dealer events throughout the country.

Chevron Delo, which makes lubricants and coolants for on- and off-road diesel powered equipment, will also part with a custom-made bike, a 1700cc Frontier from Thunder Mountain Motorcycles valued at $45,000.

“We are temporarily turning our attention from 18 wheels to two in an attempt to thank the markets that have been so good to us,” said Nicole Fujishige, lubricants marketing manager for Chevron Products Company. “The reliability offered by Delo products allows our customers to enjoy one of their most precious commodities, their personal time. The Delo Bike sweepstakes will give one lucky winner a great way to enjoy that time.”

The Delo Bike sweepstakes is open through Nov. 1. To enter, click here.
