KPI-JCI recently held an onsite, hands-on crushing and screening PRO Service Training Event at the Johnson Crushers International, Inc. plant that drew 30 participants from the United States and abroad.

Fifteen representatives from eight dealerships attended the training session, including Mine Equipment & Design LLC (Hamilton, Ohio), Tri-State Truck & Equipment (Casper, Wyo.), Goodfellow Corp. (Utah), G.W. Van Keppel Co. (Van Buren, Ark. and Tulsa, Okla.), Lonetrack (Aldergrove, Canada), General Aggregate Equipment Sales (Fargo, N.D.), General Steel and Supply (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Power Motive Corp (Colorado). Fifteen customers also attended the event.

Training sessions included presentations on start-up, application, troubleshooting and maintenance for crushers, as well as a factory tour. Erik Schmidt, field service supervisor and training coordinator at Johnson Crushers International, said the training sessions build relationships and provide an applied education that will prove significantly beneficial for those in the field.

“What is learned in these training sessions – without a doubt – will provide real world skills that will benefit any operator, mechanic, supervisor or manager of aggregate and mining equipment,” Schmidt said. “Insight takes place that you just can’t get out of a book.”
