John Deere 825i Gator Special EditionJohn Deere has introduced a special edition of its 2016 Gator that the company says makes the utility vehicle, a more “distinct offering in the market.”

The XUV 825i Special Edition John Deere Gator adds some significant storage space with two integrated cargo tool boxes along with LED roof lights.

“The Special Edition Gator was designed for those customers who require additional storage to complete the task at hand, day or night,” said Mark Davey, John Deere marketing manager for Gator utility vehicles.

The two cargo boxes are situated on the driver and passenger side of the 50-horsepower, 812 cc XUV 825i SE. The driver’s side box opens from the top and has two divided compartments with a removable tray.

The passenger side box opens from the side and features one open compartment. Each tool box has a 75-pound capacity.

John Deere says the two LED roof lights were made part of the special edition Gator for customers who are out early in the morning or late at night. The lights use one-quarter the amps of equivalent halogen work lights and last 250 times longer, according to Deere.

In addition to the SE package, the heavy-duty model is outfitted with power steering, a deluxe cargo box, integrated brake and tail lights, and an Operator Protective Structure, or OPS, with nets. The vehicle is also equipped with yellow alloy rims and Maxxis Bighorn tires.

Being a special edition and all, quantities of the XUV 825i Special Edition Gator are limited.
