John Deere unveils 2 large-frame skid steers, 2 CTLs in G Series power boost

Updated Nov 25, 2016

Saying the machines boast better visibility, more power and simplified service points, John Deere has added four large-frame compact loaders to its G Series lineup.

First introduced at the World of Concrete Show in February, Deere’s G Series now includes six skid steers and three compact track loaders with the introduction of the 330G and 332G skid steers and the 331G and 333G compact track loaders. Quick specs are below.

More height, more power

Deere says the biggest improvement the G-Series upgrades bring to its large-frame loaders is the new vertical-lift boom design. The new design increases hinge pin height to 11 feet and improves reach by 6 inches for easier loading of dump trucks, feed mixers, fill hoppers and more.

The machines are more powerful as well, with horsepower ratings the company says are comparable to a small backhoe or crawler, while increasing capacities up to 3,700 pounds and boosting breakout force by 40 percent.

The hydraulic lines and wiring have also been re-routed through the boom to better protect them and keep them out of the operator’s line of sight.

Cab improvements

Inside the cab operators will enjoy better visibility, easier entry, more legroom and less noise. Deere says sightlines to the bucket corners, the edge of the tires or tracks and the jobsite ahead are unobstructed while an optional rearview camera can be displayed on a secondary monitor. An LED front and side lighting package is available as well.

The machines also offer a choice between standard EH ISO controls, (EH) ISO joystick controls or options that are switchable between ISO- and H-patterns, or EH 3-way switchable controls that allow operations between ISO- or H-pattern, or hand and foot controls of operation within the same machine.
