JLG extends contract with U.S. Army to reset equipment in Afghanistan

JLG Industries [2] has extended its contract with the United States Army. The extension increases the value of its existing contract by $10.2 million for the reset of theater-provided equipment deployed in Afghanistan.

The Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM) is administering the Reset program, which is intended to to reverse the effects of combat stress on equipment and ensure the machines are in optimal condition.

Under the terms of the $73.8 million contract, JLG is refurbishing its SkyTrak 6000M, ATLAS and ATLAS II military telehandlers, as well as other equipment deployed in Afghanistan.

The JLG military service team will perform the work in Bagram and Kandahar, Afghanistan, through August 9.
