JLG has announced that the length of engine service intervals on JLG and SkyTrak telehandlers equipped with Cummins QSF3.8 diesel engines have doubled, from 500 to 1,000 hours.

TH-Filter-InsetJLG global product director for telehandlers Brian Boeckman says the service interval extension is due to the use of synthetic oil and new oil and fuel filters.

Initial oil changes should still be completed at 500 hours or one year. After that, every oil change should be completed at 1,000 hours or one year.

“By increasing the period between oil changes, we are cutting in half the time customers spend changing oil, oil filters, and fuel filters while doubling the time machines are rental-ready,” said Boeckman. “The result is customers who are more productive and profitable.”

JLG recommends using JLG and SkyTrack filter kits to maximize efficiency of life maintenance programs. Applicable filter kits are below.
