Japan leads world in robots

Posted By admin On December 15, 2008 @ 6:23 pm In Construction News | No Comments

The country has 295 robots for every 10,000 manufacturing workers [1], ten times as many as the world average. Singapore and South Korea come in second and third. The United States rates ninth with 86 robots per 10,000 workers.

If you’re a small-time manufacturer or even a contractor with a lot of repetitive metal fabrications to produce, check out this page from Lincoln Electric [2].  I visited their factory this summer and was surprised at how affordable and do-able robotic welding is becoming.
