Israeli-made security bollards protect Russia’s Kremlin

Goodpictures 001When it comes to security, the Russians deal with it seriously. Which is why, says David Wasserstrom, president of Trident Security Devices (http://www.tridentdevices.com/) and the U.S. distributor of the Israeli-manufactured bollard, Moscow chose this High Security Bollard to protect the Kremlin perimeter.

The TSD Security Bollard was successfully tested (Oct 2010) at Calspan Transportation Sciences Center, and is in compliance with the new ATSM Standard as a L3/K12 Retractable Security Bollard, without exception or limitation.

However, to meet the strict Russian requirements, the Security Bollard was subjected to special demolition and crash tests conducted by the Russian Army under the close supervision of Kremlin Security Officers.

The major crash tests required the Security Bollard to successfully prevent penetration by a 6.8 ton (15,000 lbs) vehicle crashed at 65 kph (40 mph) Impact Resistance for the K8 Model, and at 80 kph (50 mph) Impact Resistance for the K12 model.

In competition with bollards from several other nations, the TSD K12 High Security Bollard was approved and chosen for the full protection of the Kremlin Compound.

TSD Security Bollards have a unique operating system.  When multiple bollards are installed in a line, each individual bollard can be operated separately, as opposed to the existing method of one (1) drive unit for the entire bollard line.  In addition, any combination of bollards in a multiple row of bollards can be programmed to operate as separate units.

The TSD Security Bollards, manufactured in Israel, are controlled by the Israeli Trade Act (1985) and are to be evaluated and considered made in the United States, with certain limited exceptions, under the Buy American Act of 1933 and in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Trident Security Devices, Incorporated (TSDI) is a manufacturer and distributor of an extensive line of safety and security products that meet the needs and requirements of government, the military and private industry.
