Heavy truck and equipment dealer Inland Group, which carries Kenworth, Case Construction Equipment, Tigercat and Link-Belt products, has opted to implement CDK Global Heavy Truck’s Drive Dealer Management System (DMS) and other technology tools.

CDK says its platform offers dealers financial analysis and task management through a highly secure single portal. Alerts and messaging help staff stay informed on reports, purchase order approvals, overrides and more while the system also provides access to simplified analysis of departmental expenses through “reporting tools that drill down directly into archived documents.”

“We performed an exhaustive search of all third-party dealer business software providers and we feel strongly that CDK is an ideal fit,” says Bill Currie, Inland Group president and COO. “Their commitment to the heavy truck and equipment market, financial stability, professionalism and complete package offering were key decision drivers. With over 1,200 employees and 23 locations in both Canada and the U.S., we needed a provider who could meet all our needs.”

In addition to the DMS, CDK will provide Inland internet telephony, CDK Document Scanning and Archiving, ASP hosting and system maintenance and network data security.

“When a customer comes into one of our dealerships, we want to provide consistent, complete and accurate information at a moment’s notice,” says Andrew Johnston, Inland Group executive vice president and CFO. “The expectation all of us have for the speed of accurate information is growing and we did not believe we could meet this expectation with our current business system. We entered into this partnership with CDK because we believe they are best positioned to help us meet these expectations now and into the future.”
