Industry economist to keynote NDA’s Annual Convention

Demolition industry economist Anirban Basu will be the keynote speaker at the National Demolition Association [1]‘s 39th Annual Convention. The event, which will be the first convention the NDA has held in Texas, will take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio from March 10-13.

Basu will address attendees on March 12 with “Understanding the Construction Economy: Your 19th Nervous Breakdown.” Afterward, author George Hedley will present his advice with “Get Your Business to Grow and Profit in a Tough Economy.”

Breakout sessions will take place March 13, when Daniel Rieber of Ferrari Demolition will demonstrate “Ferrari Hydraulic Demolition Method,” Drew Lammers of Cohen Brothers and Jim Lawrence of ISA Alloys will present “Values in Scrap,” and Mitch Nelson of Fireman’s Fund will show “Are Your Insurance Claims Helping You Manage Your Risks?”

Early bird attendees can register for the NDA’s 25th Annual Golf Tournament on March 10.  The Opening Night Cocktail Reception will be held March 11 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. The Exhibit Hall in which demolition equipment and services will be on display to attendees will open the afternoon of March 12.
