IMT Introduces Radio Remote for SiteStar® Lube Trucks

GARNER, Iowa (March 11, 2008) Iowa Mold Tooling Co. Inc. (IMT) strengthens its commitment to customer productivity with the introduction of radio remote control capabilities for its SiteStar® lube trucks. This time-saving and fuel-efficient innovation from IMT brings the increasingly popular option of radio remotes to service technicians doing preventive maintenance in the field.

The new radio remotes can activate / deactivate the oil pumping system, start or stop the chassis, or control the engine throttle. These remotes increase productivity by decreasing the amount of time the service technician spends walking back and forth between the truck and the equipment. The remote can also save fuel by allowing the operator to throttle back on the engine or turn the chassis off when doing other equipment maintenance. Air-operated systems ” grease, antifreeze and salvage ” are not included in the remote™s functions at this time but are planned for the future.

IMT has always been focused on increasing our customers™ productivity, and the new radio remote controls for our SiteStar lube trucks do just that,Âť said Steve Fairbanks, IMT president. A field technician who is not walking back and forth from the equipment to the truck is saving time, which helps the equipment get back in the dirt quicker.Âť
