Ditch Witch used ICUEE to announce several upgrades to its trencher, vacuum excavator, directional drills and utility tractor lineups, including the following:

FX65 vacuum excavator

Powered by a 74-horsepower turbocharged Deutz diesel, the FX65 has a 1,215 cfm airflow, which Ditch Witch says is a 20 percent increase in performance over other models in its class. Three vacuum tank capacities are available: 500-, 800-or 1,200-gallons; as are three water tanks, 200-, 300- or 500-gallons.

A three-stage advanced filtration system includes a cyclonic filter, which cleans the air before reaching the filter, and a 2-micron washable vacuum filter. An optional wireless boom rotates 270 degrees and extend 14 feet.

RT80 ride-on trencher

With a static load rating of 39,000 pounds, the 74.5-horsepower RT80 trencher offers standard rear steering, giving the machine a tight turning radius. A three-speed, shift-on-the fly ground drive control allows you to adapt to changing site conditions, as does a standard cruise control system, which senses engine loads and automatically adjusts ground drive speed.

In the operator’s station, a new color LCD display gives insight into engine diagnostics and performance information. Removable side panels give easy access to service points and components. Available attachments include a centerline trencher, sliding trencher, vibratory plow, earth saw, combination trencher plow, microtrencher, backhoe and real carrier.

Utility tractors

An upgraded seat with an integrated control console in the arms highlights the new RT105, RT125 and RT125 Quad utility tractors. The high-back rotating seat can rotate 120 degrees. A 5-inch color LCD display offers insight to engine performance data and diagnostics.

Powered by either a 107-horsepower or a 121-horsepower Deutz engine, the machines have standard four-wheel drive. The RT125 Quad has a three-speed, shift-on-the-fly ground drive that senses and automatically adjusts to site conditions.

Finally, all Ditch Witch horizontal directional drills have been updated with Tier 4 Final engines, with the exception of the JT60 and JT100, which will get new engines in early 2016.
