iBEAM Construction Cameras

Updated Jul 5, 2018

iBEAM Construction Cameras provides construction camera systems that directly benefit contractors, specialty subcontractors, owners, manufacturers/suppliers and architects/engineers. Using these camera systems, iBEAM clients save time, reduce trips to the job site, increase quality, and realize additional profit.

The company was founded in 2001 by Tom Allen, an architect who first attempted to use live cameras in 1983 to reduce the number of trips to the job sites. In 2005 iBEAM introduced the first portable wireless construction camera system. With a phone call and the push of a button, live close-up details of any situation can easily be shown to anyone, anywhere. The invention of the iBEAM Handheld system fulfills Allen’s vision of the early 1980s.

Also in 2005, iBEAM expanded its product family with iBEAM onsite, a live, remote-controllable camera system. The Onsite system lets the project team monitor construction without going to the site and gives owners the capability to watch as the project grows from an investment into an asset. In addition to the live features, the Onsite camera automatically uploads photos to iBEAM’s server to create an online Image Archive. iBEAM hosts a custom camera home page for each project where authorized users can access the live camera and the online Image Archive. Image Archive CDs and time-lapse movies are produced monthly.

In mid-2007 the iBEAM Time-Lapse Pro Sysrem was introduced. This system captures 1920X1080 high-resolution images to create a stunning Image Archive. 1080p high-definition time-lapse movies are produced monthly, and have proven to be powerful tools for corporate marketing, presentations, draw request verifications, and lender updates. The cellular modem gives the system added flexibility because you just mount the camera and plug it in.

iBEAM offers professional nationwide installation and customer friendly set-up.
