Built with tight jobsites in mind, Hyundai Construction Equipment’s new 9A Series zero-swing excavator is designed for light construction, light demolition, road work, utility work and landscaping applications.
The 5,730-pound R25Z-9A has a 7-foot, 11-inch dig depth, with a bucket digging force of 4,740 foot-pounds and a .09-cubic-yard bucket capacity. The excavator has a 2-foot, 7-inch tail swing radius and is towable by pickup for easy transport. The R25Z-9A has a 23-horsepower Tier 4 interim Mitsubishi S3L2 engine and improved hydraulics that deliver super-fine touch and controllability for nimble, accurate performance.
The excavator also features a roomy cabin with a fully-customizable operator’s station, including an easy-to-adjust seat, wrist rest settings, foldable pedals for increased floor space and ergonomically located control levers. Safety features include an improved heavy duty upper frame that absorbs high stress loads, an X-leg center frame and a reinforced box section track frame that provides strength and lengthens service life.
Serviceability has been addressed through extended life hydraulic filters, hydraulic oil, shims and bushings. All of the machine’s components are easily accessible for maintenance.
