Hyundai’s new HL730-9A wheel loader features Tier 4 upgrades, larger cab

The 128-horsepower Cummins QSB4.5 engine is fuel efficient, low-noise and is electronically controlled for the optimum fuel to air ratio. The self-diagnostic system provides dependability, while the combination of a high pressure common rail system and advanced in-cylinder combustion increases power.
The 23,249-pound wheel loader features a 2.5-cubic-yard bucket capacity with a bucket breakout force of 20,170 pounds. Available in an extended reach model for jobs requiring a high dump height, the loader also comes in a tool carrier model that features parallel lift.
The HL730-9A’s fully automatic transmission boosts travel speed while reducing noise and power loss. Customizable preferences such as machine power, automatic transmission, shift time and clutch cut-off activation ensure the appropriate settings for not only the job, but also the operator’s personal preferences.
Power, standard and economy engine modes provide flexibility, and four transmission shift modes ensure suitability for a range of construction, demolition and recycling and utility applications, and are selectable via rotary type switches.
A large, redesigned cab has a 17-percent wider windshield, as well as larger door glass. Improved cab features include fully automatic climate control with increased cooling and heating capacity; tilting, telescoping steering column; adjustable wrist rest, AM/FM radio with MP3 interface, USB input, hands-free Bluetooth; and a ladder with 20-degree incline and large deep tread aluminum cast steps for entering and exiting the cab.
A 5.7-inch touch screen LCD monitor allows the user to view boom kick-out and bucket position settings, integrated load weighing system and self-diagnostic system. The monitor also functions as a backup camera.
Service features include a tilting transmission and hydraulic oil coolers that swing open for easy access. The rear door opens to more than 70 degrees. Conveniently located gauges and ground level common service points ensure easy serviceability.
