Hyundai used the recent Trimble Dimensions conference in Las Vegas as an opportunity to announce a Trimble-ready option for some of its machines.

Selecting this option, which the company says is “coming soon,”  will outfit Hyundai wheel loaders and excavators with factory-installed Trimble machine control and positioning systems.

At the Dimensions conference Hyundai displayed four machines equipped with Trimble technology.

An HL955 wheel loader and an HX300L excavator were equipped with Trimble’s dual GNSS GCS900 system which combines 3D machine positioning with bucket positioning. The HX300L was also equipped with the X2350 Loadrite onboard weighing system.

Hyundai also displayed two compact excavators at Dimensions. The R80CR-9A had Trimble’s GCSFlex machine control system, which is a budget-minded system aimed at small and medium-sized contractors.

The R35Z-9A meanwhile, was equipped with the GCS900 2D grade control system. Using an angle sensor, dual-axis sensor and laser catcher, this system guides the operator to the desired depth and slope and determines where the bucket teeth are and should be by constantly measuring the relationship between the excavator’s body, boom, stick and bucket.

Corey Rogers, marketing manager for Hyundai said “dealers and customers can expect to see more evidence of our collaboration with Trimble at upcoming trade shows, including CONEXPO-CON/AGG next March.”
