Hyundai on Tuesday unveiled a new tandem-drum compaction roller and introduced four single-drum models updated with new engines at ConExpo 2017 in Las Vegas.

The new model is the HR26T-9. This roller weighs in at 6,400 pounds, has a drum width of 47 inches (working width is 49 inches) and is powered by a 31-horsepower, Tier 4 Interim Deutz D 2011 L2i diesel.

Hyundai says while its tandem-drum rollers are designed for asphalt paving and maintenance, the HR26T-9 can also be used for soil compaction—a job typically reserved for its single-drum lineup.

Like the rest of the Hyundai tandem-drum lineup, the HR26T-9 features front and rear scrapers for keeping the drums clean and 55-gallon water-spray systems. The following are standard features across the tandem-drum lineup:

♦  ROPS roll bar

♦  Hydrostatic drive

♦  Hydrostatic vibration on both drums

♦  Automatic vibration mode (double/single vibration)

♦  Spring-loaded brakes on both drums

♦  Manual emergency stop switch with touch sensitive switch at the seat

♦  Spring-mounted driver’s compartment

♦  Four headlights

♦  Lockable dashboard

Four single-drum rollers now Tier 4 Final compliant

Hyundai also introduced updated versions of the HR70C, HR110C, HR120C and HR140C single-drum rollers at the show. All four of these machines are now powered by Tier 4 Final engines.

A Deutz TD2.9 L4 powers the HR70C while a Cummins QSF 3.8 powers the HR110C, HR120C and HR140C.

On these single-drum models, the compaction drum is available with a smooth or pad-foot surface.
