Hydraulic compactors as attachment units: now with rotation device and "PermanentLube" lubrication system

The range of Atlas Copco hydraulic compactors is now also available with a standard “PermanentLube” lubrication system as well as an optional rotation device.

The PermanentLube lubrication system turns the compactor into a practically maintenance-free attachment. žThe work no longer has to be interrupted for a manual lubrication, Roland Stiller, Technical Specialist of Atlas Copco Construction Tools in Essen explains. žWith this feature all of the compactors of this range require practically no maintenance.

The optionally available 360Ëš endless rotation device allows the compactor to be positioned with greater ease in all applications. Especially in trenches and other areas which are difficult to access, the rotation decice clearly boosts the productivity. Atlas Copco is offering the rotation device for all compactors from HC 308 onward as an optional feature also as a retrofitting kit.

The compactor as attachment unit makes less noise than a hand-held compactor and improves the overall safety since no one is standing in the working area. The excavator cab protects the operator against the vibrations produced by the compactor.

The compactor attachments of Atlas Copco were launched on the Bauma 2007. The six different models are designed to be attached to carriers with a service weight of 1 to 40 tons. They are used to compact soil and slopes and to extract and drive in posts and sheet pilings.
