Hello, traffic jam?

Honda logo 2No more back seat driver telling you how to avoid doing the congestion crawl. Honda can now have a smart phone app tell you how to do it.

Yes, Honda now  says it is possible to delay the occurrence of a traffic jam and improve fuel efficiency by 20 percent or more by driving a vehicle while following instructions given by a smartphone application. Tech On reports that Honda Asia tested the device in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, a prime traffic spot for traffic jams that run down MPG if there ever was one. The key, believe it not, is a sort of group hug approach, with everyone heading into potential traffic jams getting together via the smart phone to drive in sync. Sort of like synchronized swimming. Anyway, it seems to work. So I guess the people of Jakarta are okay with synchronized driving. Now lets see Honda test it in New York City.
