Yes, Honda now says it is possible to delay the occurrence of a traffic jam and improve fuel efficiency by 20 percent or more by driving a vehicle while following instructions given by a smartphone application. Tech On reports that Honda Asia tested the device in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, a prime traffic spot for traffic jams that run down MPG if there ever was one. The key, believe it not, is a sort of group hug approach, with everyone heading into potential traffic jams getting together via the smart phone to drive in sync. Sort of like synchronized swimming.
