There’s no question whether the advent of 3D printing will have an affect on the architecture and construction industries. Not only can you use the technology to create models of a structure, you can then print out pieces of the structure and assemble them. But what if you could print a 3D structure as you design it? That’s exactly what the 3Doodler does. [2]
The 3Doodler is a 3D printing pen that actually prints plastic as you draw whether its on a surface or in the air. The video demonstrations below have so impressed the Kickstarter community that the website’s users have pledged nearly $2 million [3] to kick off production of the device. And get this, it will likely only cost $50 once it goes on sale.
