Gary Vermeer: the passing of a legend

At the World of Concrete we heard about the passing of Gary Vermeer, the founder of the company that bears his name. You can find a tribute site to him at this link. I never met Gary, but I have visited his factory in Pella, Iowa, and spent plenty of time with the company’s executives, customers and product managers. To a fault, they’re all hardworking, humble, competitive, inventive and fun to be with–a great reflection on him and the company he created.
