Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin – It’s big and it’s powerful – the DPU 100-70Les is the latest offering by Wacker Neuson, the industry’s leading manufacturer of reversible vibratory plates. The DPU 100-70Les offers the complete package of power, efficiency and reliability. The extremely high compaction depth and surface performance of the DPU 100-70Les makes a great combination. The infinitely variable speed provides new ease of control and greater efficiency. Add to that the 22,000 lbs of centrifugal force and 34.4 inch wide operating width, and it is a job site workhorse for the biggest compaction applications.
The ability to control the speed of the DPU 100-70Les is what makes it an industry stand out. While this is an excellent machine for large area compaction, because the machine’s speed can easily be reduced with a push of a button, the DPU 100-70Les can also move slowly along job site obstacles, curbs and walls, right up to the edges allowing for added versatility. The speed can then be increased again and the operator can continue completing the job, increasing efficiency by eliminating the need for an additional plate to compact in the more confined areas. Also increasing efficiency is the ability to put the machine into “creep speed” which enables to plate to be travel across hard surfaces without damage to other locations around the site.
Wacker Neuson’s DPU 100-70Les is powered by a 20-hp Kohler diesel engine with an electronic start. When fitted with extension plates (standard), the unit can compact up to 15,737 square feet per hour at a rate of 92 feet per minute. Wacker Neuson’s reversible plate is ideal for the compaction of sand, gravel and mixed soils along foundations, trenches, and surface compaction.
