Hobart Brothers’ Rocket 7024 Stick Electrode
December 10, 2008

The Hobart Brothers Rocket E-7024 stick electrode is designed to improve weldability and productivity on flat and horizontal welding applications.. The Rocket 7024 electrodes are particularly well suited for general plate, tank and construction equipment fabrication, and for SMAW (shielded metal arc welding) applications requiring high deposition rates andhigh travel speeds. Featuring a self-removing slag system that completely releases slag, Rocket 7024 electrodes improve productivity by minimizing timely post-weld activities such as chipping or grinding. Rocket 7024 stick electrodes also produced lower spatter levels than competitive 7024 electrodes and welded aptly through moderate amounts of dirt and rust, while still achieving a consistently smooth, flat weld bead profile”factors that, combined, further minimize unnecessary rework and downtime.
