Roadtec introduced two new 8-foot pavers in the last quarter of 07. The RP-170 is a rubber-tired machine and the RP-175 features rubber tracks. They replace the RP-150 and RP-155 models.
Thanks to CAT® C6-6 ACERT Tier III engines, horsepower increases to 174 on both models. These engines comply with the latest environmental standards while providing a 12% increase in horsepower over previous models. Fuel capacity of both models has also increased by over 40% to 95 gallons on the RP-175 and 90 gallons on the RP-170, allowing more hours of work uninterrupted by the need to refuel. New, hydraulically driven cooling fans provide a substantial drop in paver noise emissions for a quieter work environment around the paver. The new swing-out seat design and new operator control layouts that were previously introduced on Roadtec™s 10-foot models are also standard on these new 8-foot machines.
The robustness of Roadtec pavers and Roadtec anti-segregation features come together with the features of these two new models to provide maximum reliability and operator comfort to paving contractors.
