Tregaskiss designed its new TOUGH GUN® Self-Shielded Torch (http://www.tregaskiss.com/selfshielded2008) to withstand the harshest of welding environments with minimal downtime or costs for parts changeover. The self-shielded torch is available in 300-, 400- and 500-amp air-cooled models, each of which has been engineered with durable, high temperature resistant components that provide long-term, trouble-free performance. Each is also compatible with Tregaskiss™ TOUGH LOCK® Contact Tip System and the QUICK LOAD® Liner.

Durable Construction, Greater Savings
To help companies lower costs for torch parts and for downtime associated with maintenance and repairs, Tregaskiss incorporated its exclusive Double-Life Torch System into the new self-shielded torch. The Double-Life Torch System features identical connections on the front and back ends, allowing them to be flipped when the front end becomes worn (except on Euro-connector models). Adding to this cost-saving feature, the comfortably designed and durable handle is backed by Tregaskiss™ lifetime warranty.

The TOUGH GUN Self-Shielded Torch includes an easily replaceable contact tip holder that protects the threads on the aluminum-armored gooseneck that can become worn as a result of repetitive contact tip changes. It also minimizes the need to purchase, stock and replace the necks as frequently. The contact tip holder accommodates TOUGH LOCK Consumables, including heavy-duty contact tips and the new, extra heavy-duty style tips. The addition of high-temperature resistant tip insulators provides extra protection to extend consumable life and lower downtime for changeover.

Tregaskiss offers a variety of custom configurations for its new TOUGH GUN Self-Shielded Torch, allowing welding operators to choose the exact components needed for their applications.
