(WEST FARGO, N.D. ” October 2008) Bobcat Company announces the launch of two new replacement rubber track patterns for compact track loaders. The new Bobcat® Multi-Bar Lug (MBL) and EarthForce Bar Lug replacement rubber tracks provide loaders with superior traction and ultimate operator comfort. Uniformly wound cables and the elimination of connection points help to create the most durable track on the market.
Smoother ride, reduced vibration
When compared to traditional tread patterns, the new Bobcat MBL track has a greater number of tread lugs per foot, which enables a softer, smoother ride. The new tread pattern minimizes vibration, thus increasing the longevity of the undercarriage parts and improving operator comfort.
The decreased vibration of this design will enable customers to save money on undercarriage repair costs. The expanded steel-link forgings provide the machine with greater stability, allowing for a wider steel cable belt and increasing the strength of the tracks.
Bobcat MBL tracks are constructed with cut- and crack-resistant rubber compounds that are specifically designed to extend the life of the tracks. The flexible rubber compounds are uniquely formulated to carry the maximum load of the machine at full capacity. Elimination of connection points and using the exact same cable length helps achieve ultimate durability. Assembling the tracks with aligned loops of cable eliminates tighter loops that can gouge and tear into the rubber. This helps to increase the life of the tracks. Also, the aligned loops of cable work together for optimal strength. To further prevent rust and debris penetration, the cables are wrapped in nylon fiber net.
The new tracks have different rubber compound densities, enabling the multiple layers of rubber to perform different functions. An outside layer (comprised of a hard, severe rubber compound) provides excellent cut resistance and traction in the roughest terrain. Inside layers (made of a softer durometer) help maintain track flexibility to prevent cracking and weathering.
Other Bobcat track options include the Bobcat C-Pattern and the Snow Track, both of which offer superb traction and optimal floatation. Bobcat replacement tracks are available on the following Bobcat compact track loader models:
