Kohler KD440 Diesel Engine
February 20, 2013

Kohler Engines’ KD440 air-cooled, single cylinder diesel engine has been updated significantly to offer improved performance, reduced maintenance costs and increased ease-of-use for operators in the construction and agriculture industries, among others. Key performance-improving upgrades include a new air filter, a modified tank, a new drain tap, and an updated recoil pulley. The updated KD440 was specially designed to extend the time between maintenance intervals. Specific features that help make this possible include: a redesigned air filter, an improved tank that helps reduce the entry of foreign particles and is easy to replace, and a new drain tap that allows for quick cleaning and simple replacement. A rubber-coated recoil pulley has also been integrated to reduce noise levels and improve operator comfort.
