Kohler Engines Kohler Command PRO EFI Propane Engine
February 14, 2013

Kohler Engine’s Kohler Command PRO EFI Propane Engine is a highly efficient, environmentally-friendly option, akin to the gasoline version, that provides increased productivity and lower overall operating cost to landscape contractors and other green industry professionals. The new propane engine is an option on Kohler’s 23 and 27 horsepower Command PRO® EFI commercial line. Many landscape contractors nationwide have turned to propane to ensure they can stay up-and-running during “Green Days” or “No-Zone Days,” when local municipalities prohibit the use of gasoline-powered equipment. Kohler EFI engines integrate an oxygen sensor that analyzes the air/fuel mixture in the unit’s muffler. If the oxygen level strays from the ideal mixture, the sensor triggers adjustments to the amount of fuel injected into the system.
