Company: Chicago Pneumatic

The CPS 185 PDU portable compressor manufactured by Chicago Pneumatic features a 49 hp interim Tier 4 Perkins 404D-22 engine and a direct-drive air end that provides 185 CFM.  The advantage to the direct-drive air end is that it requires less horse power to deliver the rated 185 CFM @100psi.  This means more air is produced with less fuel.  The Working pressure on the compressor is easily adjusted from 58 psi up to 125 psi. This  rotary screw compressor also features a durable galvanneal steel, powder-coated sound suppressed enclosure, and a wide-opening one-piece canopy with gas struts that allow complete access to the engine and compressor components for easy maintenance.  The CPS 185 PDU control panel features an electric fuel gauge, air pressure gauge and a sealed hour meter. The centralized control system comes with a cold start aid and fault lights. The control circuit provides the following protective shutdown switches to protect your investment:  Low engine oil pressure, high engine coolant temperature, high compressor oil temperature and a low fuel shut down switch.  The low-fuel shutdown function prevents damage to the starter and increases the overall lifetime of the compressor.
