Caterpillar’s two base models of scrapers have heaped capacities of 17 and 22 cubic yards. More than 60 Caterpillar parts are used in the construction of each of the scrapers. Each scraper is available in two configurations — standard configuration with two tires and an advanced design with four tires. Each of the advanced design scrapers features a parallel linkage, which provides an adjustable cutting edge angle to optimize loading, and a walking beam suspension for superior ride in the cut and on the haul road. The scrapers are designed for Caterpillar crawler tractors and Challenger MT800-Series and MT900-Series special application tractors.
