Case Construction Equipment’s PT240 pneumatic tire compactor is a versatile eight-wheeled machine  designed for rolling hot mix asphalt surface treatments like chip and seal, as well as soil stabilization applications. With a turbocharged engine rated at 99 hp (74 kW), the Case PT240 pneumatic tire compactor has power for operating on grades up to 25 degrees and on materials with higher rolling resistance. The compactor features standard hydrostatic steering, independent axles and a four-plus-four tire configuration with two-inch tire overlap. The machine also offers automotive style controls with left- and right-side operating positions for optimal operator sight lines and control. The Case PT240 has a compaction width of 78 in (1986 mm), suitable for production asphalt paving projects.
