East Introduces Lowest All-aluminum Drop Deck Trailer

RANDOLPH, Ohio – Designed for increased payload versatility and better stability, East Manufacturing is introducing the first all-aluminum drop deck trailer with a low-slung 36” deck height.
“Specialty loads, particularly equipment loads, keep getting taller and taller,” noted Bill McKenzie, director of dealer development and flatbed products at East. “With the new low-height East drop deck there is less need for partial dismantling of the load to get it below the 13’ 6” maximum legal height. So haulers have a lot more flexibility in terms of the loads they can haul both efficiently and profitably,” added McKenzie.
An added advantage of the 36” drop deck height is its lower center of gravity. This provides the trailer with improved stability, which increases in value the more unusual the size and shape of the load.
Because the new East low-slung drop deck is all-aluminum, it provides the ideal balance of strength and weight to allow even greater payload optimization. It is available in multi-axel configurations, in lengths up to 53 feet.
The new East low-slung drop deck will be on display at the East Booth 34035 at the Mid-America Trucking Show, March 22 -24 in Louisville, KY.
Headquartered in Randolph, Ohio, East Manufacturing Corporation offers a full line of aluminum dump, platform and refuse trailers, straight trucks with dump bodies, and heavy duty trucking accessories. Ranked in the top 20 trailer manufacturers in the U.S., East has a network of over 70 trailer dealer locations and 350 accessories dealer locations nationwide.
