While addressing the press here at the Intermat show in Paris, Howard Dale, vice president of Dressta and chairman of the board of LiuGong Europe, said Dressta’s newest compact dozer will launch in the U.S. before the end of the year.

TD-9R Crawl.DozerDale said LiuGong is completing design changes on the TD9 based on early customer feedback to a working prototype of the machine. He said the company expects to launch the compact hydrostatic dozer in the U.S. in September.

Dressta, acquired by Chinese equipment manufacturer LiuGong in 2012, is a Polish-based heavy equipment brand which has five product lines: crawler dozers, pipelayers, wheel loaders, conveyor belt shifters and backhoe loaders.

The TD9 is powered by a Tier 4 Final Cummins engine and features independent track control and three job modes including, Power, Normal and Economy. Hydrostatic drive on the machine is managed by a programmable electronic control.

Inside the cab, operators will find large glass and windows comfortable controls. â€śThe operators’ input in regards to ergonomics and command of control played a key role in refining the design,” said Dale in a statement regarding the input of American and Canadian customers after putting the machine to work.

Controls on the machine feature grips designed to be used with and without gloves and with the aim to reduce the risk of the operator’s hands slipping during operation

In terms of technology, the TD9 comes ready to be outfitted with GPS and Trimble machine control.
