Doosan Portable Power debuts skid mount P185 Tier 4 final air compressor at ICUEE

Doosan Portable Power’s new P185WDOU skid mounted utility air compressor features a space saving narrow design, with all cooling components mounted on one end and easily accessible service points. The machine was on display at the 2015 International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition in Louisville September 30.

aThe P185 offers free-air delivery at 185 cfm with a 100 psi rated operating pressure and pressure range of 80-125 psi, which can power handheld air tools, sandblasting work, pipeline testing and paint striping.

The thermostatically controlled electronic cooling fans, which activate at high operating temperatures, is a feature the company says can help with engine efficiency during paint striping in hotter climates, as it can operate at ambient temperatures of up to 130 degrees F.

A Tier 4 final 48-horsepower Doosan D24 engine powers the P185, and features a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) aftertreatment system. The machine’s design also offers full-sized, locking end doors for easier access to fluid tanks, filters, batter and oil separator.

All controls and gauges are accessible at eye-level and backlit LED Quick View Screens offer up to 13 parameter, fault codes and can be translated into English, French or Spanish.

The P185’s working weight is 2,300 pounds and measures 84.8 inches long, by 33.4 inches wide by 52.5 inches high. It will begin shipping in December.
