On-highway diesel fuel prices rose $0.022 per gallon in the U.S. this week, according to our sister site, Aggregates Manager [2].

The increasing costs follow four consecutive weeks of falling diesel prices [3].

This week, diesel prices also rose in most regions of the U.S. Two regions saw no change.

The greatest increase this week occurred in the Midwest region, which experienced a $0.035-per-gallon fall from last week’s prices, though the region saw a $0.194-per-gallon year-over-year decline.

The only regions in which diesel costs remained unchanged were the West Coast region and the West Coast less California region, which remain at $3.954 per gallon and $3.872 per gallon, respectively. Diesel prices in the West Coast region are down $0.161 per gallon for the year, while costs in the West Coast less California region have decreased $0.198 per gallon in the past year.

Overall, national prices rose $0.022 per gallon this week to $3.844, and they are $0.190 per gallon lower than a year ago.
